Paytm m'loyal alternative

Wallet-native loyalty without the Paytm-stack lock-in.

m'loyal is one of India's longest-running enterprise loyalty platforms, built on Paytm's payments rails and routing rewards through the Paytm app. Brava bets on a different rail: customer phones already open Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet, so rewards live there, on the lock screen, with geo-fenced alerts when a customer walks past your shop.

How Brava's pass actually behaves in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet is covered on wallet loyalty cards.

Why teams switch to Brava

Wallet-native across Apple, Google, and Samsung

m'loyal routes loyalty through its own customer app or the Paytm app. Brava lives inside Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet, the wallet apps every modern phone already opens daily. No new download, no Paytm-stack dependency for the customer.

Lock-screen presence + geo-fenced alerts

m'loyal pushes engagement through SMS, push, and app surfaces. Brava ships the loyalty card to the lock screen itself and triggers a notification when a customer is within ~100m of your shop. Earlier in the journey, before they have decided where to go.

Modern foundations, not retrofitted

m'loyal has years of enterprise scale, BFSI clients, and a portfolio of campaigns. Brava is newer and that is the point: wallet-native, geo-fenced, no-app-required were the foundations on day one, not features added on top of an SMS-and-app product built in 2014.

SMB-grade simplicity, not enterprise-grade overhead

m'loyal is built for 200-store enterprise programs and brand portfolios across BFSI, Luxury, Fashion, Mall. Brava is built for the cafe owner, the salon chain, the multi-location SMB. Less procurement friction, less integration cost, no enterprise sales cycle for a wallet pass.

What m'loyal does that we deliberately don't

m'loyal is the enterprise-tier Indian loyalty platform built around Paytm's payments stack and BFSI-scale procurement. Different tier, different shape, different design choices. Here is what we chose against, and the behavioral reasoning behind each rejection.

01

m'loyal routes loyalty through Paytm. We deliberately don't.

Your customer should not have to use a specific payments app to access your loyalty program. m'loyal's reward rail runs through Paytm wallet, UPI, bank transfer, and e-gift vouchers, all tied to Paytm's payments stack. That is fine if your customers all use Paytm and you never plan to change. We chose against payments coupling on principle: your loyalty relationship belongs in the wallet apps every modern phone already opens daily (Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, Samsung Wallet), not inside any single payments provider. Switch your payments stack, switch your bank, switch anything you like. The wallet pass keeps running.

02

m'loyal asks for a procurement cycle. We don't.

m'loyal is built for 200-store enterprise programs across BFSI, luxury, fashion, and mall portfolios. The procurement weight that comes with it is real: implementation partner, integration timeline, customization scope, multi-quarter rollout. We chose against that shape because most loyalty problems do not require it. A single café owner, a four-location salon group, a ten-outlet retail brand: those operators need wallet-native loyalty live this week, not next quarter. Brava is configured in the dashboard, not built through a partner SoW.

03

m'loyal sends through Paytm channels. We don't send at all.

The m'loyal engagement model assumes the customer is inside the Paytm experience, receiving offers and notifications through Paytm's own channels. Brava is the opposite mechanic: the loyalty pass surfaces directly on the customer's lock screen via the wallet OS, with zero per-message cost and no payments-app intermediation. Geo-fenced re-engagement fires automatically when the customer walks within roughly 100 meters of your shop. Pure presence, no channel dependency, no fee per delivery. Common questions

Do customers need a Paytm account to use Brava?

No. Brava passes work on any phone via Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet. There is no dependency on Paytm, UPI, or any payment app. m'loyal routes rewards through the Paytm app, which assumes the customer is already a Paytm user.

Is Brava limited to a specific payment gateway like m'loyal is to Paytm?

No. Brava is payment-agnostic. Billing for the merchant runs through Razorpay (INR + GST) on the backend, but customers do not transact through Brava. The pass tracks loyalty status; payment happens however your business already accepts payment, on any POS or counter.

How is Brava different from Paytm Postpaid loyalty programs?

Paytm Postpaid is a credit/BNPL offering tied to spend on Paytm. Brava is a standalone loyalty platform that does not extend credit and is not tied to a payment method. If your goal is rewarding repeat behavior across any payment type (cash, card, UPI), Brava works. If you need a Paytm-tied credit and loyalty hybrid, m'loyal aligns more closely.

Does Brava work for enterprise loyalty programs at the scale m'loyal serves?

Brava is built for SMBs and multi-location chains across India, not the BFSI-grade enterprise scale m'loyal historically operates at. If you run dozens of locations or hundreds, Brava handles that. If you are a major bank or telecom looking for a loyalty engine integrated into a national app, m'loyal's enterprise positioning fits better.

Can I migrate from m'loyal to Brava?

Yes. Customer migration is per-business and depends on how m'loyal stores your customer list. If you can export to CSV with phone numbers, we can issue Brava passes via SMS or QR signup at point-of-sale. Loyalty point conversion is also possible; the migration plan is part of the demo conversation.
