Cancellation & Refund Policy

Brava has no cancel button and no refund button, and this page does not pretend otherwise. Cancellations and refunds are handled by a person, over email. Here is exactly what happens to your plan, your access and your money.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is handled by email

Brava has no self-serve cancellation control. There is no cancel button in the app and no way to stop a plan from your account settings. To cancel, email support@brava.cards from the address on your Brava account, or use the contact form on this site. We reply by email to confirm what we have done.

Monthly plan

Monthly is a Razorpay subscription that charges you automatically each month. When we cancel it, it stops at the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for, and you keep access until that date. The cycle you have already paid for is not refunded as a matter of course. You can ask us to refund it, and we will review the request.

Annual plan

Annual is a single payment that covers twelve months. It does not renew automatically, so there is no recurring charge to cancel: if you do nothing, your access simply ends when the twelve months run out and you are not billed again. Ending an annual year early is a refund request rather than a cancellation; see below.

Refund Policy

Refunds are reviewed case by case

There is no money-back period and no automatic refund. Plan fees are not refundable as a matter of course. You can ask for a refund at any time and we will look at the facts of your case. A duplicate payment, a payment made by mistake, or a fault on our side that stopped you using Brava are the situations we most often agree to. The decision is ours, and we give it to you in writing.

Nothing is prorated

Brava does not calculate partial refunds. We do not work out the unused part of a month or of an annual year, and there is no administrative fee schedule. If we agree to refund you, the amount is the amount we state in writing when we agree it.

Payment-provider fees

Checkout may add a convenience fee on top of the plan price. Where that happens, the fee is the payment provider's charge, collected at the time of payment and not retained by Brava. We do not refund it. A refund can also become impossible once the payment is older than the limit your payment provider allows, and charges your own bank applies are outside our control.

A refund does not switch your account off

Recording a refund does not automatically end your access. If a refund covers a period you still hold access to, we will tell you what happens to that access as part of the same conversation.

How to Request a Refund

What to send us

Email support@brava.cards from the email address on your Brava account. Tell us your business name, which payment you mean (the date and the amount) and why you are asking. Razorpay emails you a receipt for every payment, and that receipt carries both the date and the amount.

What happens next

We answer most email within one business day, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm IST. If we need more information from you, we will ask for it. We will tell you the decision either way.

If we approve it

The refund is made through Razorpay against the original payment, so the money returns to the method you paid with. How long it then takes to reach you is decided by your bank and card network, not by Brava. Amounts are in Indian rupees, the currency you were charged in. A refund against an annual payment also appears in Profile → Billing, in your annual payment history.

Plan Changes

There is no pause and no lower tier

Brava does not offer a pause, a freeze, or a cheaper paid tier to step down to. The paid choices are Monthly and Annual. Both are priced per location, in Indian rupees, and both prices include GST at 18%.

Monthly to annual

You can switch from monthly to annual yourself, from Profile → Billing. The month you have already paid for is honoured: your annual year begins when that month ends, and we cancel the monthly subscription at the end of that same cycle. Nothing is prorated and nothing is refunded as part of the switch.

Annual to monthly

While an annual year is running, you cannot move to monthly: the app refuses it, so that you are not paying twice for the same period. Once the annual year has ended, you can choose either plan.

Adding locations

The price depends on how many locations you have at the moment you pay, and that count is recorded with the payment. If you add locations later, Brava does not automatically charge or refund the difference for the period you have already paid for. The new count applies the next time you pay.

Exceptions & Special Cases

Accounts closed for breach

An account we terminate for breaking our Terms of Service (fraudulent activity, abuse of the platform, or other prohibited conduct) is not refunded.

Money your own customers pay you

Prepaid top-ups your customers make on a Brava wallet page are collected into your own payment account, not Brava's. They are not Brava fees and this policy does not cover them. You refund those from your own payment provider, and Brava records the refund against the customer's balance.

Outages and disruption

If Brava is unavailable for a significant stretch, tell us. Depending on what happened, we may extend your paid period or refund part of it. There is no automatic service credit.

Data & Access When a Plan Ends

Nothing is deleted when a plan ends

When a paid period ends, Brava deliberately keeps everything: your business, your loyalty cards, your customers, your transaction history and your plan configuration all stay exactly as they are. Your account is not deactivated and it is not downgraded. What changes is access: the paywall blocks the dashboard until a payment covers you again, and it lifts as soon as one does.

Getting your data out

You can export your customer book yourself, as XLSX or CSV, from the Customers page. For anything that export does not cover, email support@brava.cards and we will get it to you.

Closing your account or deleting your data

Email privacy@brava.cards. We remove your account and customer data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep records for legal, tax or accounting purposes. Payment records in particular are kept for as long as the law requires. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

Need Help with Cancellation or Refund?

Cancellations and refund requests are handled by email. Write to us from the address on your Brava account with your business name and the payment you mean, and we will come back to you with a decision.
